My Niece was rushed in for an emergency c section earlier today about 11AM. Mother is doing ok, little baby girl is not. Only 4 lbs & was shaking pretty violently, reasons unknown. My Niece got to touch her only through a mobile incubator, before she was taken 2 towns away to a natal intensive care unit. My sister just now called very upset & I could not make out all she said, but apparently test reveal some chromosome damage, hole/s in her heart, some other organs may not be functioning properly. Mother's name is Krystal, I don't know if the baby is named yet, but our Heavenly Father knows her. Your prayers are appreciated so much. Thanks. January 28, 2010 Dear friends, neighbors, relatives - Prayer Warriors, All the prayers for my nice Krystal & her new baby are appreciated so very, very much. Thank you, Thank you. My Mother implied this "special needs child" was perhaps entrusted with us for a reason. All her children, & grandchildren have been born healthy & are all still reasonable healthy. This precious "great grandchild" is an exception. My Wife ... stated that maybe this was just God's little Angel to be with us awhile. The length of time we do not. Test won't be conclusive for a few more days, but the doctors are suspecting "Trisomy 18" aka "Edwards Syndrome". (Considerably worse than down syndrome) Most die in the womb & are stillborn, those that aren't usually live around 8 days average, up to about a year max (on average) if I understood my sister correctly. Perhaps she is already a miracle just being with us. My niece ... (Krystal's youngest still at home sister) was warned in a dream Sunday night (involving 3 babies one on top of a coffin). Krystal went to the hospital to have her labor induced the next morning on Monday. Once the doctors broke her water (a very large amount) they completely lost the baby's heartbeat. Quickly turning Krystal over (this sometimes will help) a heartbeat still was NOT detected, after quickly inserting some instrument to detect even the faintest beat, it confirmed no heartbeat, I got the following story; The doctor loudly yells "Surgery Stat". One nurse physically jumps on the already rolling gurney & starts inserting a cather as they sped toward the surgery room, sedative is quickly administered into Krystals already installed IV, still rolling the doctor is physically pushing the babies head back into the birth canal. They make a turn, roll across the surgery door threshold, he states to Krystal, "hun you may not be completely under the anesthetic yet, but there is no time", & even before that remark was completed he was already starting the incision for the emergency C section. From the time they entered surgery, Addylynn Grace was removed from her mothers womb & delivered into this world in less than 2 minutes. The doctors told Krystal had she not already have been in the hospital with a competent staff at her side, there would likely have been no hope. In [my niece's] dream, I don't know the signifance of 3 babies, nor or the 3rd being on "top" of a coffin. I'd like to think little Addylynn Grace has already cheated death. Whether she's with us a few more days, or weeks, or much longer,... on the time line of eternity, all our lives are but an extremely small speck. Kyrstal only got to touch her baby (through a apecial imobile ncubiator) before the baby was whisk away to another hospital. But she is being moved to the same hospital & I understand a special room is being set up just for momma & baby where they will perhaps have some time to bond and...... Against all odds, we're still praying & believing for a miracle. God allowing her to spend a little more time with us, healing her to live a long fulfilling life, or restoring a genetically ill child to complete health would require no more of a miracle than raising Lazareth from the dead. (John 11:17-46) Nevertheless, this is certainly not the only child or mother to suffer. We're still in shock about the Haiti earthquake tradgety & all the suffering there. Regardless of the outcome, we give thanks & praise for this little child & are believing that her life, regardless of span, will affect positively all the lives she has already touched, including all you prayer warriers. It hurts so bad to see her, so little and helpless and to see my daughter Krystal to have to hurt so bad. August 29, 2010 My Great Niece "Addylynn Grace ... " went to sleep peacefully in the arms of her Parents & woke up in the arms of Jesus Sunday 8-22-10, around 6PM. Her service was held today & was totally awesome I am told by family members. It was titled "A Celebration of Addylynn Grace". I attached 2 poems (pdf) one started Sunday & finished Monday. Last night (Tuesday) about 9PM while looking at one of her photos, the poem "Through my Eyes" came to me. I bawled through its entire writing, then e-mailed it also to my sister for reading at the funeral today. I hope they open for you. Her Daddy Chris read the 2nd poem himself. Personalizing it, he started, "Addylynn Grace, when your Mother & I named you, we hadmeanings in mind...." I understand even the grave side service was awesome. 210 helium balloons were released, one for each day of her life. Ironically, as all the balloons were released together, they formed a huge "Heart" shape as they ascended out of sight. I apologize for not updating sooner, but between work & things being kind of emotional, I simply did not find time until now. ALL prayers on Addylynn's behalf & for her family were & are appreciated so very much. Thank you, Thank you. Addylynn touched a lot of lives in her short stay with us. She was with us 2 days short of 7 months, Underwent a battery of conditions including successful open heart surgery (with her little heart completely removed from her chest cavity to repair 3 holes). She was a fighter, up until the end. Today would have been her 7 month birthday, thus her funeral more about a celebration of her life, than a mourning. Thank you again for your prayers. - Addylynn Grace - 1-25-10 - 8-22-10 When you were Named Your parents had "meanings" in Mind, For "Addylynn" is Old German And means; "Noble Kind". Your middle name "Grace", Again they were Stressing, Of Latin origin - Meaning... "Favor or Blessing." Genetic Disorder,... No one knows Why. Even your birth against Odds, But you would Defy !! So tiny your Were, Yet so large in Stature, Your life touched so Many, Countless hearts you did Capture. "Mighty Mini" you were Sur-named At the heart surgery Place. But now your whole body is Perfect, And you have won your Race. Thou your earthly body be Laid Next to Papa Charlie's Grave, You're both walking with Jesus In new bodies he Gave! The Angels Sing ... All raising their Voices, Welcoming a child Home, As all heaven Rejoices ! An emotional loss on Earth, But such a great heavenly Gain. Restored ever' bit Whole, No distress, No more Pain. And to see you Again ? Oh,.. YES, YES we Can !! Yet another great Reason, To follow Salvation's Plan. - great uncle terry August 24th 2010
